A shared setup and a live show differ
| Need | Use | What the visitor gets |
|---|---|---|
| Let someone use a copy of the setup | Wheel share link or QR | The shared wheel data; it is not the host’s live remote control. |
| Put an interactive wheel on a page | Workspace Share / embed | An embedded wheel with the chosen setup. |
| Collect names for an event | Hosted registration link | A name form, followed by host approval. |
| Show the host’s current result | Hosted display / OBS URL | A synchronized audience display. The host needs Pro. |
Share or embed a prepared wheel
A free fullscreen wheel also works when you simply share your screen. A reusable wheel link does not turn every viewer into a synchronized live audience.
- Prepare your project in Workspace and choose Share / embed.
- Read the generated link and embed code. Copy only the part needed by the destination.
- Open the link in a separate browser view before sharing it.
- For a website embed, check both a narrow screen and a desktop-sized container. Keep enough height for the wheel and controls.
Use a live display in OBS
- Create a Pro hosted activity and copy its display link.
- In OBS, add a Browser source and paste the display URL. Match the source size to your scene.
- Keep the host controls on your own screen or phone. Rehearse a round and verify the displayed result.
- Keep the presenting device online. If it stalls, check the source URL and reload the display before continuing.
Review before sharing
Anyone with an unlisted link may view its content. Share only names and images you have permission to disclose. A QR code is another way to carry the same link, not an extra access restriction.
A link or QR has practical size limits. If a large list or images cannot fit, export a backup or use an appropriate cloud/hosted workflow. Do not post private rosters while asking for technical help.

Common questions
Why doesn’t my shared wheel follow the host?
A normal share link opens a wheel setup; it is not the live display. For synchronized results, use the hosted activity’s Live display / OBS URL and keep that device online.
Link to this answerWhy can’t I create a QR code for a large list?
QR codes and URL-based shares have size limits. Large rosters or images may not fit. Use a backup file or a suitable hosted activity instead of shortening or losing entries without checking.
